TAPMS is seeking deserving college students enrolled in relevant academic programs in the state of Texas.
The 2026 David Allen Bass Scholarship is a $1500.00 scholarship to be awarded during the MSAPMS/TAPMS banquet on November 9-11, 2026 in Athens, Texas; applicants are strongly encouraged to attend. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence, professional and extracurricular activities, career goals, and contributions to aquatic plant science and management or contributions relevant to the TAPMS focus in the fields of biology and ecology. Applicants must be current students in the state of Texas at the time of the scholarship award (November 2026) and be registered for the 2026 conference to apply for a scholarship; presentation is preferred but not required. Abstract submission closes on September 15, 2026.
